How to Create A Balanced Blended Protein Smoothie For Weight Loss!

Ok, out the gate, I must admit I'm bias because I really enjoy having a delicious blended protein smoothie every morning and I enjoy the results I see in my body composition and energy.

A blended protein smoothie can be enjoyed at anytime. It's great for a meal replacement or snack.

 

The recipe used in the video is fast, easy to make and includes a balance of macro nutrients (protein, fat, carbohydrate and fiber) that helps balance blood sugar.  Other health benefits are suppressed hunger hormone ghrelin,  crushes cravings, and promotes fat loss.

 

When creating your blended protein smoothie focus on low sugar. 

 

Step 1:   add a few pieces of ice if you like an icy smoothie.  

 

Step 2:  add 2 cups of a leafy greens (spinach, kale, parsley, swiss chard etc

 

Step 3:  add 1 cup of low sugar fruit strawberries, blueberries, apples, pear

 

Step 4:  add 1 scoop of plant-based protein powder (blends like rice & pea protein)

 

Step 5:  add almond milk, coconut milk, or skim milk

 

Step 6:  add boost - handful of nuts (walnuts or almonds), 1/2  banana or avocado, tbsp of flaxseeds or chia seeds.
