It's A New Year Do I Detox Or Not

Many of us have intentions of starting the New Year with healthy goals like a Detox. Detox means different things to different people.  Detoxification is about cleansing and nourishing the body from the inside out.

Let’s look at how detox works.

By eliminating toxins then feeding your body with health nutrients, detoxifying can help protect you from disease and renew your ability to maintain optimum health through a range of methods including yoga, nutrition, meditation and more.

What are the benefits?

  1. Gives the organs a rest

  2. Stimulates the liver to drive toxins from the body

  3. Promotes elimination through the intestines, kidneys and skin

  4. Improves circulation

  5. Refuels the body’s energy

Today, there are more toxins in the environment, it is suggested that everyone should detox at least once a year.

If you experience sluggishness, allergies, low grade infections, bloating or mental tiredness then you may want to consider a detox.

How to start?

To lighten up your toxic load, eliminate alcohol, caffeine, cigarettes, sugar and saturated fats. Eating 6 cups of green veggies and fish will start the process. There are many detoxification programs to meet your lifestyle needs.
